About Us

Who We Are

Apollo’s Pals Sanctuary, Rehabilitation & Adoption Inc. exists first and foremost as a sanctuary.

Before adoption.
Before numbers.
Before convenience.

Our first passion is giving love, care, compassion, and a voice to the voiceless — especially to the animals who have been forgotten, discarded, or deemed “too much” elsewhere.

We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and protecting animals who have nowhere else to go. While we are proud to place wonderful animals into loving forever homes, our heart and mission begin with sanctuary.

Apollo’s Pals takes in the sickest of the sick — dogs and cats with serious medical needs, chronic conditions, trauma, and deep emotional scars. Many of the animals who come through our gates have been physically abused, emotionally broken, neglected, or failed repeatedly by humans. These are the animals who need more than temporary help — they need time, patience, safety, and unwavering commitment.

At Apollo’s Pals, every animal is treated as an individual, not a number. Healing happens at their pace, not on a deadline. Some go on to become adoptable. Others remain with us for life, living out their days surrounded by love, dignity, and compassion.

Apollo’s Pals Sanctuary, Rehabilitation & Adoption  Inc. is owned and operated by Dorothy and Ray Trivitt, who have dedicated their lives to this work. With the support of local shelters, volunteers, and an incredible community of supporters, we continue to grow — not in size alone, but in purpose and impact.

Every donation made to Apollo’s Pals directly supports animals in crisis and is 100% tax-deductible. More than that, it is a lifeline for animals who have already endured more than their share of suffering.

This is not easy work.
It is not fast work.
But it is meaningful work.

At Apollo’s Pals, we don’t give up on animals — we stand with them for as long as they need us.
