What's New With Apollo's Pals

Check here for all the latest news and events we have going on!

Earlier this year, we took in Butterfly and through several visits to the vet, we are happy to report that she is doing well! We will start taking adoption applications for her in August.

Butterfly is up to 72 lbs and has had her spay surgery. She’s had surgery on her tail from frostbite and has gone through her heartworm treatments. August will be testing her and that’s why we’re waiting to accept adoption applications. Please note that she will have to be brought into a single dog family!

Check out our TikTok videos of Butterfly: Showing Off!A Great Day!

We also have over 20 cats/kittens up for adoption!

Apollos Pals is now offering Boutique Boarding!! Space is limited!

Let your furry family member come hang with Apollo’s Pals while you’re gone. Donation cost is $100 per day and that includes a private luxury cabin (temperature controlled) with their own private play yard, 2 30-minute play sessions in the onsite dog park per day, either private or group.

Breakfast and dinner meals with our homemade food that compares to Farmer’s Dog. You will also receive videos and pictures of your baby daily.

For an added donation, we offer exit bath, training, and more! Any training that is done while boarding, the family will get a 30-minute instructional session of what we went over, included.

You can have the peace of mind, knowing that while your baby is with Apollo’s Pals, they are treated as part of our pack and family. Owners/care takers live onsite! Head over to the contact page to message us for more information!

Woof,

Apollo’s Crew

Apollos Pals is now offering basic training courses here at our facility for you and your pup. Send us a message for your free assessment and then together we will come up with a perfect plan for you and your fur baby.

Cost is $75 per hour or 5 1-hour sessions for $300. All proceeds will be going directly to Apollo’s Pals so they would be a tax write off for you!

Watch this sneak peek with one of our resident pups!

Ray and I recently did a kitty round up and caught a bunch of ferals along with their mamas. We are currently in the process of getting the mamas fixed so we don’t have this same issue next year and once the babies are old enough they will also be fixed!

Prince has been adopted and Zeke currently has an adoption hold! While these pups look forward to their new homes, we are also welcoming Sir Arthur Artemis (pictured lounging inside below)! Sir Arthur will be joining us as a sanctuary only dog while we do still have Mateo (pictured on the log below), patiently waiting for his next forever home!

Apollo’s Pals has added a new member to the pack! We would like to introduce Butterfly 🦋; Butters for short!

She was left at the Montgomery County Animal Shelter parking lot last Sunday evening. She had been starved for several months and is 25-30 lbs underweight. Butters is estimated to be between 5-11 years old.

Having a rough go at life, Butters was abused and neglected during the recent freeze and contracted frostbite on her nose and tail. She is in need of amputation, which has been quoted between $3000 – $5000. Apollo’s Pals is seeking donations to assist with the cost. Every little bit helps! Donate (paypal.com)

Hello family and friends,

Apollos Pals is sad to bring you the news that yesterday September 18 at 1:30 PM, Charles James affectionately known as CJ left this earth, and joined Apollo on the other side of the rainbow bridge. Ray and I and all the animals are heartbroken and so sad over the loss. It is never enough time. We take solace knowing that when CJ came to us, he came to us with four months to live, and that was 19 months ago.

CJ was a fighter. He beat the odds that no one thought he could. He was free from heart worms, but the 12 years of abuse and neglect took a toll on his body. We will remember him with his smiling face, his spunky attitude, and his true unconditional love.

CJ became my shadow the moment he got to us. We will miss him deeply but know that he is running free and no longer in pain, and we are sure he’s telling Apollo all about the sanctuary and the squirrels he chased, the school buses he barked at, and how much he was truly loved.

For the 19 months he was with us, he knew that humans were good, that a hand meant a soft touch and not hurt. He had multiple comfy squishy beds, to choose from, and a couch to lay on, and truly a family to love him.

CJ passed with Ray and I at his side surrounding him with love.

His end-of-life care was very expensive, and the sanctuary is asking for help.
If you would like to donate to helping pay off his bill, please see the link below, and in the notes write that it’s for CJ’s care.
We ask that you lift up the sanctuary as it’s not just Ray and I that are hurting but we can tell the animals are also feeling his passing.
We love you, CJ, our big, red dog, you will never be forgotten, and in the blink of an eye will all be together again. You may be gone from our sight, but you will forever be in our hearts. We cry because it’s over, but we smile because we had you.

We are in need of donations!

Sweet Abbott has broken his leg. We did x-rays to confirm. The vet is not sure if it’s an old break that has re-broke or if he broke it within this last week. (He’s been using it off and on and even running on it). We are now waiting for a call from Blue Pearl Orthopedics as we’ve been told that he is going to need surgery.

This little guy has been through so much; he came to us from Pasadena animal shelter. We believe he was a bait dog; he’s had to have his tail amputated, because in the process of being rescued, it was bit off by another dog (right before he came to Apollo’s Pals). We have nursed the sweet baby through so much: heartworms, tail amputation, getting accustomed to being around other dogs, which is he’s done great.

Apollo’s Pals is in desperate need of donations so that we can get the surgery done for our sweet Abbott. Every little bit helps. Please if you have anything to spare, please help Abbott. Paypal Link

Hello friends and family of Apollo’s Pals! We have two new dogs on-site that are ready to adopt!

More good news for Miss Harry!

She is doing well! Miss Harry is recovering at home and when she has recovered, pictures of the sweet kitty will be posted!

Yaddle and Zeke are also doing well! These two pups are decompressing at PetSuites League City and already have some interest with adopters.

We will keep regular updates on these three!

Good news for Miss Harry!

Dr. Rainbow has done a thorough examination and the eye is able to be saved so they’re going to be doing a graph surgery. Surgery is going to be very expensive. We are looking at $2,300 and we are in need of donations to help offset this cost. She went into surgery earlier today! We’re asking for positive thoughts, prayers, and any monetary donation would be greatly appreciated. Donations accepted through PayPal.

Yaddle and Zeke are the newest members of Apollo’s Pals!

Yaddle is a female German Shepherd mix. A cute medium dog sitting at a whopping 35 lbs! Just tested negative for heartworm and is feeling great after her bath!

Zeke is a male Staffordshire mix ringing in at 58 lbs. Also testing negative for heartworm, he is following Yaddle’s lead and getting squeaky clean!

PetSuites League City is currently boarding these two rescues while Apollo’s Pals is raising funds to finish prepping their cabins!

Its been a busy day at Apollos pals!

We were able to save 2 dogs that have been displaced from the tornados. We thank you so much for your continued support, kind words, and prayers. Apollos Pals partnered with the wonderful people at PetSuites League City to go in and rescue two of the Pasadena Animal Shelter’s displaced dogs from BARC Houston. We have secured Yaddle and Zeke!

We are in desperate need of donations so we can help offset the cost to PetSuites as well as prepare a place for them here at Apollo’s Pals.

While we wait for the furever Family. PetSuites has offered to board them, but we do not want to take advantage of their generosity, so we are needing donations to help finish out two of the four cabins that we have left. We will be needing insulation, window air conditioning units, wallboard, and the fencing material for the private yards. We will also be looking for volunteers to help us get the cabins ready.
Apollos Pals is a very small sanctuary/rescue and without our friends help and our community involvement, we cannot continue to save more animals and continue Apollo’s mission.
Good morning, friends and family of Apollo’s Pals! Miss Harry has an ophthalmology appointment on Monday the 30th. Fingers crossed she doesn’t lose her eye. I am putting out an urgent plea for help with donations for our sweet Miss Harry. We have been working with our vet for an eye infection that she has. Unfortunately, it has taken a turn for the worst, and we need to get her into an ophthalmologist ASAP. This will be very expensive, and we are in desperate need of funds to help get her through this process. If you can help donate monetarily in any way, please consider making a donation through our PayPal.

Once again thank you for all you do to help us make our mission possible.
Wags and kisses,
Apollos Crew!!
